Lethbridge Jazz Society Artist Submissions

Selection Process:

Traveling artists who are submitting applications to perform are encouraged to do so from August 15th to November 30th, 2019. Our artist selection committee will review them as they are received. Successful applications will be contacted and letters of intent issued for the Canada Council grant prior to the early December deadline.

Due to the high volume of submissions we will only contact successful applicants. We will keep your application for two years and consider it for future festivals or performances.

Due to the high cost of travelling in Canada, artists who wish to perform must apply for a Canada Council Touring Grant. Please refer to their posted deadlines.

Successful Applicants:

Once artists have been selected we aim to have final details and contracts completed by end of March 2020. We understand the announcement of the grant recipients may have an impact on this deadline and will work with artists to be flexible with this.

We will also require the following by no later than March 1st, 2020:

  • Artist or Group Biography
  • Photograph(s)
  • Names of group members
  • Link to EPK and live performance audio

We will also require the following by no later than May 1st, 2020:

  • Technical Rider and stage plot
  • Hospitality requirements

If your rider contains complex equipment we will require this sooner.

Please note that the Lethbridge Jazz Society is a small organization run by volunteers. If we are interested in your application we will contact you. Multiple applications or inquiries to the status of same will not be responded to.

The 2020 Festival will be held June 13th - 20th, 2020. The outdoor Jazz at the Park event will be held on Saturday, June 13th with other (indoor) shows held between June 17th - 20th.

Thank you for your interest in our festival!
